Thanks to everyone (tireless Committee members included) who helped with the access road repairs last weekend. All large potholes now filled. Please drive slowly along the track so the repairs can last as long as possible!

Another delivery of 100 fish from Torre… 50 rainbows, and 50 Sparctic trout (a hybrid of brook trout and the arctic char). The water temperature is now starting to rise, so this will be the last stocking for a while. This batch should have a chance to acclimatise before the Read more…

A lovely Spring day at Darlow, and we are continuing to steadily build up the stock levels with another 100 Bibury rainbows going in today.
Today’s water testing brings us some good news in that the levels of total ammonia have reduce to undetectable levels, which means that ammonia is no longer a toxic risk to the fish. Last time we saw this was during the summer of last year. Turbidity of the water has Read more…
Latest water tests have shown that ammonia levels have decreased again (0.14 mg/L, pH 8.2), which is great news, but it is important that this continues to fall to zero. All other tests look good, with oxygen levels high (10.1 mg/L, 89 % sat., 9.7 °C).
We’re very happy to say that conditions have continued to improve and there doesn’t seem any immediate danger of any flooding, so the water conditions will remain stable. 200 more rainbows (and a small number of sparctic trout) have been stocked today (03-Mar-2022).
We’re pleased to announce that the 2022 FFFC fishing season is now open! Darlow Water is open to members from today 01-Mar-2022. At present, we’re only allowing members, so, no guest fishing for the time-being. Also, just a reminder that the river fishing season does not start until 01-Apr-2022, so Read more…
