It is important that we as a club and club members contribute to limiting the spread of non-native invasive species. Both for our own benefit at Darlow, we don’t want any more problems, and we don’t want to burden others with our problems. At Darlow we have Ergasilus sieboldi, a non-native fish parasite and Signal crayfish. Plus the banks of the Windrush are covered with Himalayan balsam.

The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs provide advice at: http://www.nonnativespecies.org/checkcleandry/biosecurity-for-anglers.cfm
